Life moves fast — and so do your kids. Between school drop-offs, practices, and busy schedules, it’s easy to feel like meaningful moments slip away. But what if the best discipleship opportunity was already sitting right next to you — in the front seat of your car?
Built on Deuteronomy 6:4–9, Car Talks helps parents live out God’s call to teach their children “as you go.” Each short, simple devotional uses wisdom from Proverbs to spark meaningful conversations between parents and kids — no theology degree required.
Each day’s reading encourages families to open God’s Word, ask honest questions, laugh, pray, and plant seeds of faith that grow into lifelong wisdom. Because raising kids who know about God isn’t enough—our goal is to raise sons and daughters who know Him personally, walk in wisdom, and represent His name wherever they go. Whether you’re on your way to school, practice, or errands, Car Talks helps turn ordinary moments into eternal ones.
PROVERBS 9:9
“INSTRUCT THE WISE PERSON, AND THEY WILL BE EVEN WISER. TEACH THE RIGHTEOUS, AND THEY WILL LEARN EVEN MORE.”
QUESTIONS:
What does this verse say happens when you teach a wise person?
Why is it important to keep learning, even when you already know a lot?
How do you respond when someone corrects or teaches you?
DEVO THOUGHT:
One of the signs of a wise person is that they are always learning. They don’t act like they already know it all. They listen, ask questions, and grow. Even the smartest athletes, leaders, and coaches still study and train hard. If you want to be great in life, never stop being a learner. Real wisdom says, “I’ve still got more to know and grow.”
ACTION STEP:
Next time someone gives you advice or correction, don’t argue—listen. Say, “Thanks for helping me grow.” That’s what wise sons do.
Start building wisdom, faith, and legacy—one car ride at a time.
Because discipleship doesn’t just happen on Sundays, it happens as you go.
